DALEN'S DUCKLING | DALLAS, TX | FALL12

In a class focusing on digital manufacturing processes, fellow students and I constructed a light structure under the instruction of professor Douglas Hecker. The light structure was to be prototyped and built in Clemson, SC then transported to Dallas, TX to be installed in [RE]gallery. The object of the project was to use a manufacturing by-product. We chose the textile cone and were privileged to work and source this material from a local textile mill in Greenville, SC. The sculpture begins to speak to the immense possibilities that can emerge from recycling industrial waste.
